Lori Korsmo, CEO of Genesis Legal Nurse Consulting, brings over 25 years of diverse nursing experience to the intersection of healthcare and the law. Her clinical background includes cardiac intensive care, acute care, long-term care, travel nursing, and a variety of supervisory roles. Lori has also served as a university-level educator, sharing her knowledge with the next generation of nurses.

Lori earned her Master’s of Science degree in Nursing in 2012 from the University of Phoenix, further deepening her expertise and commitment to professional excellence. Her comprehensive clinical knowledge, combined with strong analytical and communication skills, make her a trusted resource for attorneys seeking expert insight into medical-legal cases.

Lori founded Genesis Legal Nurse Consulting to collaborate with attorneys and serve as a vital bridge between the medical and legal fields. While Legal Nurse Consultants do not practice law, their clinical insight is invaluable to litigation teams involved in medically related cases.

Lori was born and raised in “The Dakotas.” She is a country girl at heart and currently resides in a rural town in South Dakota. She grew up on a farm and has enjoyed farming in the past, being known in the community for operating machinery such as combines and hay equipment. She started her nursing career at
the world-famous Mayo Clinic where she worked for twenty years before deciding to get back to her roots in the Dakota’s. She enjoys country life, has a passion for animals and will be opening a kennel and spa for dogs in the future. Her goal is to adopt a deaf dog to train and give it a forever home.
